The goal of the game is to be the first player to get rid of every card in a standard 52-card deck. Each player is dealt a hand of cards at the start of the game, and the draw pile is formed by the remaining cardscaesars slots being arranged face down in the middle of the table. In an effort to form sets and runs of cards, players alternately draw cards from the draw pile and discard cards from their hand. Three or four cards of the same rank make up a set, and three or more consecutive cards of the same suit make up a run. Once a player has created a set or run, they can lay it down on the table and continue to build on it in subsequent turns.
