While a run is made up of three or more consecutive cards of the same suit, a set is made up of three or four cards of the same rank but different suits. Different variations of the game, like Gin Rummsky vegas slotsy, Indian Rummy, or Kalooki, may have slightly different rules and can be played with two or more players.
